The Corporate Reporting Specialist will work in the Corporate Affairs Department and be responsible for public reporting of the Company’s corporate social sustainability work in a variety of media.  The position will also contribute to liaising with international organizations, ethical investors and non-government organizations in the corporate social responsibility arena whose work is related to Sustainability Reporting.  The Corporate Reporting Specialist will ensure all communications are legally compliant in a number of jurisdictions and that they accurately represent the company’s strategic mission. The Corporate Reporting Specialist reports directly to the VP Corporate Affairs.

Mine Production Foreman

The Supply Chain Manager role leads logistics, planning, sourcing, purchasing, delivering, warehousing and returning efforts associated with materials and services necessary to sustain site operations. This role is accountable for minimizing total inventory value and services spend while maintaining agreed upon service levels. In short, this role oversees the complete life-cycle of materials to support site operations.

The Supply Chain Manager role directs the process that includes the planning of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution. This role ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost savings opportunities.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the control environment in the entire supply chain, from vendor research, pricing quality control, adequate warehouse controls and appropriate accounting information. Management of critical and insurance spares, to provide guidance to accounting and operational staff on which spares should be activated as an asset and to interact profoundly with the operations, accounting, and corporate workgroups.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to develop the purchasing, expedition and warehouse staff. Special focus will be provided to maintain the highest ethical standards throughout the supply chain department.

The Supply Chain Manager role must communicate their needs and objectives to line managers and/or supervisors and key personnel in procurement, maintenance, operations, logistics, and distribution. This will help the entire team understand the timing required and individual input necessary to make the process run smoothly.

The Supply Chain Manager is the single point of accountability for supply chain activities with respect to the other business units & external vendors and as such is required to provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers while delivering on commitments.

Cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvement is an ongoing key focus for the Supply Chain Manager role. Promoting cost reductions and cost avoidance planning will lead to increases in productivity and will usually equal higher profits.

The Supply Chain Manager role must manage the relationships between many different vendors and information technology systems. This role must keep the material and services flowing smoothly. In order to do this, they must have the cooperation of the company’s vendors. Relationship building is important in maintaining this high level of service and quality. The Supply Chain Manager role is accountable for returns as well.

The Supply Chain Manager role will train, develop, mentor, and assist subordinates in all of the departments that fall within the supply chain process. It is essential that the various components of the team function effectively. Constant process and employee review is needed to ensure that the process stays cost effective.

Reporting to the Manager of Mine Planning and Engineering, the Mine Projects Engineer will oversee engineering, planning and execution of surface and underground projects required to support the 3,500 tpd underground mining operation.

The role requires close interaction with internal and external engineering groups, mine operations and contractors to ensure that projects fulfill the needs of the operation and are completed in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. In addition, the Mine Projects Engineer will mentor and develop national engineers and technicians in disciplined and systematic project planning, execution and reporting and set expectations for their performance and work product.

Projects planned during 2014 include vertical raises to extend the primary ventilation circuit approximately 100m vertical, construction of the mine´s first permanent underground pump station, dewatering wells and infrastructure for the East Zone orebody to be developed in 2015.

The Country Controller directs the financial efforts of the site, prepares financial analysis of its operations and explains its results. As a key member of the site’s Leadership Team, they assist Site Management in the identification, analysis and implementation of operational excellence cost savings opportunities. The Controller is responsible for the facilities financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves full responsibility and supervision over all site accounting activities, including general accounting, property accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting. The Country Controller evaluates and manages department efficiencies, costs and productivity and provides related guidance to direct reports as necessary and carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
